I don't know Jimi. If I think back to Vietnam and the lies that were told about it as it happened, the people in the Administration then had a regard for truth, shown in the breach rather than the observance. And go back to WWII, and it's ommissions from the truth.
Now we have leaders who are well understood by the public. As long as they hold nothing back, that seems to be what counts.
I don't really know about this, but it's how it seems to me.
