If it happens often, you ought to see a doctor who has some familiarity with headaches. My primary care physician just offered barbituates for the headaches, but my headache specialist gave me triptans (Frova) and I swear it's the best thing since air conditioning (or maybe klonopin). It's not instant relief or anything, but within a relatively short period of time the pain is gone. And I don't get the multiple day headaches that I used to get. Unfortunately, I've heard you can't take triptans if you're on certain antidepressants.
Has the weather been thundery where you are? I have had a bit of trouble with the summer thunderstorms and barometric pressure.
