I agree with Witti, that this is a beautiful post. To feel worthy of love sounds like a wonderful step forward for you (and for anyone, really). I also like your reminder about the importance of being "good enough." I try to use this frame for myself in terms of being a parent. Sometimes it works :) But how wonderful to have such a strong model.

I agree too, that similar interests are by no means necessary, or sufficient, to form a deep relationship with someone. I like the term that Dinah has used previously: "fighting to relationship." I tend to think of it not so much in terms of an antagonistic fight (though it sometimes can be), but more as a reminder of the ongoing work needed on both sides to build a strong relationship. If you read this, Dinah, you can tell me if I'm off base :)
