It'll take some more time to not miss terribly certain things. And to quit denying how deeply I miss them. (It's a good therapy issue since my T. is also ex-Air Force and so understands all too well.) One of the things I hate not being able to do now - I mean *officially* - is, at a moment's notice, to go and help people in dire need. I didn't get to do it as much as I would have liked on active duty. Now I have tis urge to fill sandbags, pass out water, or something. With all the internal, external, political, idealogical debate, for the most part, we do really rock....and can get stuff done like no other organization on the plantet, IM-not-so-HO. And mostly, love[d] doing it....:-)
