My advice to you is that you don't discontinue the medication abruptly and go "cold turkey". Doing so seems to cause a powerful withdrawal syndrome that persists for many weeks after the last dose is taken. It is desirable to taper off of this drug slowly and perhaps cross-over to Prozac temporarily at some point to ease the transition to zero medication intake. Crossing-over to Prozac takes advantage of its incredibly long half-life to gently reduce the amount of SRI in the system.
