I believe "odd" is part of my official diagnosis too. My therapist used it as part of why he thinks "schizotypal" fits me.
I've decided, most of the time at least, that odd isn't so bad. I think Tabitha once reframed it for me as "quirky", which sounds so much better. Somehow what she said stuck with me, and made me feel much better about it.
And, over time, I've come to notice that the people I'm most drawn to, the people who are most fun to be around, and most interesting, might be considered a bit odd by others. But differences *are* kind of interesting, like the gap in Lauren Hutton's teeth. How boring the world might be without a generous helping of quirky.
Now, if he described you as unpleasant and odd, that would be different.
