In reply to What do I do about carpel tunnel?, posted by Maxime on December 19, 2010, at 12:43:50
Hi maxime,
I used to work with folks with carpal tunnel, and we always recommended these series of stretches. http://www.livestrong.com/article/308069-nerve-gliding-exercises-for-carpal-tunnel-syndrome/I actually made a video of it on my old phone. If I can find it, I'll email it to you. Also, I replied to your babblemail via email, fyi.
About the brace, they can help. Make sure that after wearing it for an hour or so, you take it off and check for pressure areas that can cause blisters, etc. You don't want to get skin breakdown from a poorly fitting brace. Also, we used to put them on the floor and step on them to flatten them out a bit so that your wrist is more in a straight up and down position versus the slightly cocked back position the brace is set for.
hope this helps,
gg
