Hi Glydin:
Well, in my 15-18 year career as an ummm..whats a nice word..patient..hahthe treatment I have gotten from pdocs, a list of them, has been just horrid. Only one family GP, who basically let me pick my treatment by trying what I want, allowed me into the gates of the road to getting better. Ive been with him for the past 8 years. Id come and act very professional, with my studies, research, and citations in hand. I treated it like I was working on my graduate thesis. We work as a team. I think the way healthcare around the world is going, we are going to have to start taking more responsibility, and be an active part of the team once we get some knowledge and such. I dont think we have come very far in the past 50 or so years since psych meds have been around, in terms of reducing human misery. (Studies show it growing much, much worse.) I think its time for a change, let people play more of a role in their healing, and that includes getting the right meds. IMHO.:) Jay
