Thank you, mair. I lived in New England for many many years and was born in Montreal. I think a long cold winter is really hard on someone who is depressed. For me the short days were the biggest problem.
Hiding our disease is such a hardship, too. I don't dare tell my brothers. My sister is in the same boat as me, so she's my biggest confidante. My mother - well, she worries but can't understand. My husband hopes I'll be all better soon, but he is coming around to accepting that this is my life.
When I saw all the replies to my post yesterday, I did start to cry. I appreciate this community so much. Isolation is the hardest part of being depressed for me.
