Let me chime in.
I'm married with 2 kids, a son who's a freshman in college and a daughter who is a sophmore in high school. I, too, hate my job. I live in northern New England where the word "frigid" doesn't even begin to do justice to how cold it's been. I've been fighting chronic major depression for a very long time. I've been coming to the site for a very long time also, although, I tend to disappear for stretches of time, and I don't post anywhere near as much as I used to. This site was a wonderful discovery for me because I hide my depression from others and suffer in isolation. It is wonderful to be able to communicate with others who deal with the same issues and speak the same lingo. I hope we help you feel less isolated.
BTW - the feeling of not belonging here happens at different times to all of us - even long time active participants. Just know that the sense of isolation is temporary.
Welcome
Mair
