In six weeks, my entire family will be here for my sister's baby's baptism. (She is coming here from her home in France.) We have not been together (all six children) in a long long time. While I am looking forward to seeing everyone, my one sister, whom I love, but cannot stand, is planning a "sibling day," wherein she will gather us all for a day of fun and hiliarity. Great. Nothing like increasing my anxiety and wishing I could escape this hours long entrapment. I do want to visit with my brothers and sisters but do not want to be with them all day long with no visible means of escape. I am currently having personal problems of my own, experience my sisters as bossy, nosy, and not easy to talk to, and I would never confide in them. It would be exhausting for me to spend this much time with them. HELP!!!! How can I gracefully bow out of this half way thru???
I'd love to join them maybe just for lunch???Anyone with any words of help????? Thanks.
