Thanks. It wasn't your Hep C story that worried me, though. It was the stories of others--and of some of my students, who have written long research projects about tattooing.
I would get it on my hip or my calf, if I had it done. And don't worry; I am a big fan of tattoos. When I was a kid, The Illustrated Man was my favorite book, and I still think that they are kind of magic (though I'm sure not speaking of the green tattoos you get on a drunken dare that have some dopey girl's name on them or a picture of Popeye!).
