Hi Martha,
Thanks for that response! I haven't talked to anyone that has actually had it.........
I totally understand what you meant about being happy you tested positive for it!!!!!! I've just been told... it's depression, depression, depression,..... (which that I believe I also have)..... but that's another story. Thanks for the advice. My biggest problem is I can't take any time off of work..... and am trying desperately to sleep the whole time I'm not there, but being the holidays the family has been here...... gone now, so hopefully I can get more sleep.
It's the weirdest feeling..... and I get so mad at myself when I sleep 14 hours and only wake up when I have to go to the bathroom.
I don't know, your response made me feel better.. and now I can believe it's normal, I really do need to just rest. Thanks. Kristi
> Hi Kristi,
> Just read that you are going through mono. I'm just getting over it but still feel the effects after 3 months! I went to the Dr and said I can't stay awake! It was AWFUL!!!! I was honestly GLAD when she told me the blood test was positive for mono because I honestly really thought I was heading for the worst depression of my life, although it "felt" different - I sincerely thought that my body was going into some shutdown phase or some huge crash.

> Word from one that's been there and DIDNT follow Dr's orders.... SLEEP!!!! even when you are feeling good, STAY IN BED! Do not push yourself to do anything, you'll make recovery time much faster. I didn't and pushed myself to a point of dang near collapse. It's worth staying in bed for a full week or two than dragging it out for months.

> You said it right, it is almost like what narcolepsy might feel like! I'd fall asleep at my keyboard or have to take a nap at the table in the middle of dinner! Strangest Illness I've ever been though. (cept for this depression of course, but that's another story! lol)
