Welll, one good thing is, it seems to work quickly so you would know soon how it feels. The worst thing, I think, about all this trial nonsense is the time factor. Which is why the book folks were discussing on Babble looked very interesting (sorry, don't recall the name at the moment).
I would *think* it would help with the impulsivity. That sort of seems like what is defined as hypomania to me.
I feel calmer. I'm actually having trouble sleeping now, and am tired, but I wouldn't let something like sedation be a deterent.
Have I mentioned this in this thread? That I realize now why folks who have been around the block longer place little faith in a diagnoses? I really fought for one, and it helps me explain things to others, but really, it's just that my brain is ill. More than anything, I think it's that my thoughts get jumbled, and I just can't think clearly, sometimes on the physically depressed spectrum, sometimes on the physically manic.
It's approved for mania, which is more than the newer drugs, but remember, these meds are used at the Dr.'s discretion.
If you decide to try it, let us know. :)
(Kingfish is sorry. He needed a rest. And he's really stinky from the summer.)
