Cam,

I'm terribly sorry that the man who killed your daughter got away with a slap on the wrist, but at least he was charged and found guilty. From a legal standpoint, that may help your cause.

Florida's laws begin as bills. Some of these bills eventually become laws. When codified, these laws become statutes. These laws or statutes can be changed by contacting Florida's Senators and Representatives, who make up the Florida Legislature. The Florida Legislature is the governmental body responsible for enacting and amending these laws.

Below is an URL which lists the addresses, telephone numbers, and email addresses of every member of the Florida Senate and the Florida House. Florida's tourist industry is vital to its economy, so don't think they won't pay attention. What happened to your daughter is tragic, but it can't be undone. I hope that you will vent some of your frustration where it will do the most good. If any of us can help, please let us know.

As for the email you've been receiving, I hope you'll just consider the source ... and hit the block sender button. Take care.

I must have looked fairly convincing because the secretary wasn't going to let me in to Mental Health Services in Sherwood Park, AB (where I gave the presentation). It took her a split-second to realize who I was. I looked down at myself and except for the wig, glasses and bandanna, the outfit was what I wear to cut the lawn. - Cam
