In Oklahoma I will see wells that are one "section" apart at times. Most generally there will be more than one. A section in Oklahoma is 600 acres. I don't know how Texas divides their land.
I have never been able to grasp the concept of underwater drilling so I'm sure not up on how many wells are there. I will pull a map up and look at it.
