My _opinion_ (and I have no evidence for this, it is just an opinion based on observation) is that the block in question was not done because of the "generalization" itself, but for other reasons.
Maybe someone decided that that person needed a short break from PB and found a post that had something in it to use as evidence of a civility infraction, even if it was a fairly minor one.
I confess to rarely understanding the warning/block system even after reading and re-reading the civility rules. I understand that Dr. Bob and the deputies need some latitude to make discretionary decisions and this seems to be one of them. I'm sure it's not an easy job.
I often feel scared to post because I'm never sure if what I say will be interpreted as uncivil. I'm working on it though. The warnings feel little stigmatizing, and I _do_ take them personally, even though the wording is well thought out "This doesn't mean I don't think you're a good person" or something to that effect.
Anyways, just my 2 cents.
