thats a good point and also if the thread seem over that might be a better time to redirect? if there have been pleanty of replies and no activity for a few days then redirect it.

im personally not bothered by redirects becasue I figure they will land in the spot where they will get more appropriate answers. But in the case that the thread does have its own life in it wrong home then maybe let it play out and clean up when the party is over. Dont know...but I shouldnt be on the computer right now.
