different for everyone but yes possible should the symptoms come back, it might b worse.

what is it that your son is being treated for? whats his diagnosis? if he's been ok while on it, why not a maintainence dose of meds for a longer duration? Is this a pdoc or a general type doctor? a pdoc in my experience would encourage a maintainence dose depending on patient history and symptom reoccurence. you have some cushion as risp shots are long acting and will last I believe a few weeks. or was it a month? the longer it lasts depends on dose. I would get a pdoc if u dont already have one and based on ur son's psychiatric history he'll best treat him. It's also possible that withdrawal from the meds previously caused psychotic symptoms. the brain went from a regulated state by the meds to an unregulated state w/o them thus possibly causing psychotic symptoms. these are things in theory and is not an accurate judgement of what happens cuz the brain and psychiatric disorders are so complex. but its a possibility.

take care and hang in there. wishing your son the best.
