>Hi Cubic

you betcha!!

I successfully have been off Remeron for 6 and a half months and I must say the wt gain was terrible.. like you i gained 45lbs and was just a mess.. All i know is this drug screws up the metabolism big time... but there is hope cause I am almost back to my pre remeron wt... I now weigh 115 lbs from the original 145lbs! and i was 107 before.. its only been 2weeks for you so still early... it happens gradually and I really didnt notice the wt loss until after about 1month or 2... no diet, exercise or what have you will change this... your own body must do the work to "reset " itself... just eat healthy, and yes exercise, I mean i do and this will all aid in the recovery, but wont have a direct result on your wt loss yet..
Like I said, ive been off Remeron for over 6months and thats how long its taken to get to 115. so please be patient.. I just have another 8lbs to go and I know this will come..
I was on it for 3yrs , so i figure it will take time for the body to fully kick in..
others have told me the exact same thing

oh ya,,, dont go back on it... unless u wanna screw up the body again and be obese... im glad im free of it..
also are you on any other meds??? this could contrubute if you are,,, see IM not on anything and feel much much better..

Hang in there and good luck

I stopped taking Remeron two weeks ago after putting on 40lb in 8 weeks (going from normal weight to obese).
