I can take some Advil Cold and Sinus medication and it will help with the brain shivers. I go to the Dr on Friday, and, I am going to have him give me some more samples to help me wean off the 37.5 real slow. I can tell that I am feeling a little more emotional, which isn't a bad thing at all. I actually cried while watching the movie "Nell" with Jodie Foster the other night. I just don't want to cry all the time. I hope I stay doing this well for the next few weeks with little withdrawl. I have been scared to death about the withdrawls.

Hi Ginger.

Advil Cold and Sinus? Interesting choice. How did you come to choose it?

A lot of people remark that they experience a return of emotions that they had been missing while on SRI antidepressants like Effexor.

It is much better to discontinue Effexor with a gradual taper such as yours. In addition to mitigating withdrawal symptoms, it also gives you a better chance of not relapsing.

Are you going to be using 25mg tablets?

Let us know if you run into trouble.

Good luck.
