I would be careful about accepting advice from the people at "benzoisland". The people there are fanatically slanted on their views, and if you don't agree with them, they go bezerk on you. They claim that you should take the advice of your local physician on the matter, but if that advice doesn't fit exactly with their's, they absolutely will not tolerate it. They don't observe freedom of speech in any degree whatsoever there.
Just a tip. I was on 2mg of xanax per day for 3 years. I finally got tired of it and quit. It was a very tough week/10 days, but I'm off of it now and I feel GREAT! I don't recommend that you go cold-turkey, but it can be done if you aren't on a dose higher than 2mg. I would consult with your doctor though.
I agree with the previous poster in that xanax is much worse than Klonopin BTW. XANAX is evil in my opinion.
