Then cut off cold turkey, apparently doc did not seem to think tapering off is any use. 3 or 4 days after stopping it still have some spasms. Is that normal? I am very scared over tardive akinesia.

Have you been taking Zyprexa the whole time?

What are you being treated for?

If you are a slow metabolizer of Risperdal, its half-life can be up to one day long. That means that after only 3 days post-discontinuation from a dosage of 4.5mg, there is still a small amount of the stuff circulating in your blood stream. There is no real way to accelerate the process of excretion. However, if these movements persist for more than a week, I would start to dig deeper and perhaps even proceed to reduce the dosage of Zyprexa. You might do well with Seroquel in place of Risperdal.
