Yes, of course. You will be able to reduce your tolerance but your body will remember the exposure.

I'd try to stay within a band.
I'd have a maximunm doseage and a minimum one.
Perhaps you will be able to reduce your dose over time?
It may be that your mental state will improve when you take less, at least once you get used to it, but maybe not.

There's always the memantine opiate tolerance thing, and it is *supposed* to help with withdrawal, no idea how.
