that's the problem. that's what i see over and over and over and over and over...
people have already made up their minds.
they made up their minds on the basis of... they don't even remember. they don't know where or how they picked up that notion. but it's something that comes out of their mouths. quickly. reactively. their initial knee-jerk reaction.
it falls out of their mouth.
and then they are COMMITTED to being right.
and the lengths they will go to...
they will revise... everything else. in order to retain their committment to being right.
in a way that is delusional.

that's always been a problem or trouble that i've had.
trying to do anything in new zealand.people go 'no you can't'
and then they are committed.and that's supposed to be an end to it.
they are very committted.
to them being right.even when their knee jerk reactions are things they aren't qualified to have an opinion on.
even when their knee jerk reactions are matters that don't really impact at all on their lives (are no skin off their noses) but are so very very very imporant or impactful to someone not-them.

and they decided about me that i don't get to do medicine.
and it's just an endless succession of excuses about why that's the case.
committed to 'no'.

and they have the power to choose, to decide?
they aren' tsupposed to. there's supposed to be an objective algorithm.
but they think they know better.
and the choices they make?
well...
there's no shortage of wrongful death and sexual violation committed by the people they choose.
the people who are good at flattering and pandering to them. working for no pay.
