I'm not good with dates. I started reading on the psych board in 2007 and it was very active. Maybe too active to keep up with. Then I started checking in on the meds and social board. A few years later, there was all this craziness. People mad at each other. People mad at Dr. Bob, trolls, etc. A guy named Lou who annoyed everyone, yet never got blocked by Dr. Bob. Gradually, people left. Then the board was shut down for months, maybe even a year. I just assumed that was the end. I randomly checked it a while back and was surprised to find that it was back up again. But by this time, most people had left and never come back.
My guess (only a guess) is that a lot of people have found babble because of searches that lead to the psych board. With the psych board dormant, I doubt babble will attract many new posters.
