Yes.
Everyone is now blaming bipolar disorder for almost all mass-murderous acts. Previously, I think bipolar disorder was thought of as an unfortunate and undeserved illness, worthy of sympathy rather a than the fear and avoidance we now see. There are too many jokes told about bipolar disorder that only serve to reinforce ignorance and stigma. I am no longer candid when talking to people.
