I'm glad you have found something that helps! I like listening to audiobooks. Things like Jeeves and Wooster or The No 1 Ladies Detective Agency or Georgette Heyer or Brother Cadfael. Nothing too dramatic.
My hearing tested better than he would have expected. Of course, it was tested in a sound proof booth. I can hear noises fine. What I have trouble doing is understanding words - especially in a noisy environment. People just as well be moving their lips only. I am wondering if too much headphone listening has made my ear lazy.
The Epley maneuver to unseat the little crystal that causes Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo involves a rollover from the affected ear to the other side, unfortunately the side that I can't lie on. I see the bone guy on Monday and will ask. After that, I wear a cervical collar for a few days, and if all is well and they can't provoke the vertigo after that, they'll probably tell me I can drive.
