planning for the future when depressed

Posted by herpills on August 28, 2013, at 7:50:49

How does one plan for the future when depressed? I'm struggling right now...sure I'm making it "one day at a time" for now...but is that a way to live? I lose hope when I'm feeling this down, so what incentive is there to plan for the future? I'm feeling like I'm not anywhere near where I wanted to be in life (professionally, socially, financially) or thought I would be at this point in my life. I'd love to make some concrete goals, but perhaps it is the fear of failure that prevents me from doing so. It's easy to fail when you are so depressed.
