Hmmmm... My dermatologist wants a once a year full body mole check. I've had a couple of worrying ones removed, including a very large one where the sun don't shine. So exposure to sun isn't all that's involved. My father had a history of troublesome moles (and the skin tags that I also inherited).
I always tanned very easily. Must be the French and Basque blood in me. I joke that I can tan if I so much as look at the sun, or ride in the car in summer. I almost never burned so never worried about sunscreen.
It does catch up with you. But I remember my deep tans with fondness nevertheless.
Definitely get it looked at but no point in panicking before needed. I little healthy protective worrying is good, of course.
