It's a bloody long term thing. If I could be strong for two weeks, things started to get slowly better after that.
I have wondered if it (long term benzo addiction) helps you deal with your anxiety by getting you to think about feelings of trappedness/obligation and whatnot. That's looking on the bright side.
The difficulty for me is that I like to be alone if I am cutting back. That's a lot of aloneness to make a dint in the habit.
