In reply to go back to school now? or wait 1 more year?, posted by Christ_empowered on April 2, 2011, at 13:14:06
I don't want to be obstinate and ignore what people who know me are saying, but other people who know me have said that they think going back to school will keep me from getting bored and give me a sense of accomplishment, as I see things slowly build towards a degree.
The online program I'm looking at is a non-profit school that was set up specifically to offer education at relatively low tuition rates through the internet. If I choose to start (I have to study for and pass a COMP TIA A+ before I can start, so that's gonna be a while), I have to complete at least 12units per 6 month term, which sounds like a lot, but I mean...12 credits over a full 6 months (no spring/fall/summer breaks or anything) seems pretty reasonable.
I don't want to make the mistake of getting a job, throwing myself into school, and finding that I'm not able to balance it all. At the same time, it'd be nice to do something productive with my time.
One of my friends said to take 1-2 classes for a semester then see how it goes. I just don't know...
