I'm so glad you enjoyed the King's Speech!
I wish there were more movies like that where you learn things, and there's a story that focuses on the characters-- not special effects and gruesome stalkers. There were so many great actors in it too. I even liked Helena Bonham Carter, whom I usually don't enjoy.
I was especially interested because my bf haa a slight stutter--- for which he has finally gotten therapy-- and it gave me a little insight into the way he had felt very hampered in social situations. He talked a but more about it than usual-- and said that he had many of the same feelings as the King-- even though his stutter is almost not noticeable except when he's under stress.
I'll be curious about the Black Swan. I can't quite get myself to go, although a dancer friend of mine said that, despite the absurdity of some of the psychological drama, it really did depict a lot of very real things in the training and careers of dancers. I really would like to see it for that reason-- maybe I'll go and leave before the ending...
Are you still planning to go?
