Don't worry about what everyone at work thinks. Lots of people have cried at work. I certainly have. And I suspect that most other people have really wanted to at one time or another.
Having someone look over your shoulder is very stressful. And it's awful to be told you aren't doing something well - even if it's something that you know know doesn't matter - or something that isn't one of your strongest areas - like the day shift surveys.
Are you still crying? Can you do something you really enjoy this evening? A hot bath? A long walk? Look up things to do in Chicago?
Alternatively you could try being angry at this. Yell. Call a friend and complain. Or stick pins in a picture of your supervisor. Watch a martial arts movie and fantasize.
Remember you are not your job. It is just one way to get things that you want. Nothing more.
Eat your regular dinner. Take your meds on time. Make sure you get enough sleep. All the ordinary boring things that each help a little bit.
Mind you all of this falls into the do as I say, not as I did category. I'd come home and let myself get more and more upset until I couldn't sleep, go back to work still stressed out, and repeat the cycle. I can personally vouch for that being the wrong way to handle stuff.
That's all the short term stuff. Once you've calmed down you can think about what you want to do long term.
