Have you tried calling him? My doctor often doesn't even call back after phone calls-- I don't know if she gets buried in an onslaught of things she's supposed to do or what.
But emails can be more work-- if you don't usually do them--whereas many docs are used to phone calls. Or you could call his office and ask what the best way is to get some long-distance follow-up after the appointment?
If that doesn't work, maybe your pdoc can try.
But absolutely you should be able to ask more questions and get more information. I'm sure he would agree.
It is incredibly frustrating when they don't respond-- but I guess these days doctors are so busy, they often neglect things they would be happy to do-- and would acknowledge is part of their job.
