I totally agree about seeing a doctor - preferably your family doctor who knows you.
When I part my hair there is a lot of skin showing & it's been like this all my life. And I haven't gone bald & I'm over 60.
If you're concerned, Deneb, I'd say go to your doctor. I think that most (possibly all) medications have side effects.
