~ ~ you know, in your very unique way Manic, you're pretty cool. I don't think I know any other guy who would admit to wearing cover up makeup!!!
:-)>just because I'm a guy they think I'm pervy or nosey , not at all, i love a gossip with the girls.
~ ~ see, I think that's sort of neat also!
>an to put an angle on the term i use alot bollock, it the short vertion of bollocking ,meaning telling some one off , so if you bollock me you tell me off, an if you give me a right bollocking it means you are really mad.
~ ~ GUESS WHAT ?? The term "bullock" means a gelded bull! ! ! So that's what I thought bollock meant! So if someone was bollocking you - well, need I say more??!! Thx for explaining the meaning.
> a little insight into the english verbal,if i was to talk to you face to face you wouldent understand a word i say as from city to city we all put are angle on english an i sounds nothing like british films.
~ ~ Is your accent called 'cockney' ? My "Nanny" (Mom's Mom) always said that she was a true cockney, born within the sound of Bow Bells (spelling?)
> an the i say old boy isnt the weater horrid,i would say.
heyup buddy aint the weather piss poor.~ ~ Sounds like what I imagine Australian's might say! Especially the heyup part. I think I might start saying that Manic. Have you seen movies where young guys say "Yo!" ?
I sometimes say it; my son laughs at me. I guess it's sorta weird this 62 year old lady saying 'Yo'. LOL
So Manic, regarding 'heyup' - would you say it in the way of saying, "Hey, what are you doing!?"My son (25) & his friends have different things they say. They'll say "My bad" - meaning 'oh it was my fault; shouldn't have done that'.
I can't think of any other things they say, but they do say some different things.
I think language is fascinating.
