Phil, I'm glad I brought a laugh to you. I think I'm probably a bit more excitable than you are. I often get very angry at inanimate objects. My therapist and Dr. Bob are the only humans who elicit that reaction, I think. I take after my father that way.
But... I think it was the word "scream". Two different people from two different parts of the office in two different conversations used the term "scream". I was horribly embarrassed. Scream sounds so Friday the 13th.
Although I am thinking of renaming that computer "Chucky" or "Freddie"...
At any rate, it will be my son's when it comes back. Even on backorder, my new computer will only be a week or two away by the time this one comes back. No point in restoring my programs to it now. And while my son will be put out if he has to stop playing computer games for a couple of weeks now and then, at least it won't cost him the hourly wages and bad will from my bosses that this one has.
I did get a good piece of advice from the tech staff though. If you really need your computer to be up and running, buy from the business division.
