Hi Scott,
It sounds like youu did VERY healthy healing right away & that has left you in a warm place of lovely memories.
I imagine healing is different for every person & possibly for every experience we grieve. I'm so glad you have the warm feelings. & I'm sorry about the negative things that happened at the end.
Aren't photos amazing? Imagine not having them!
I'm sending my love & hope it's sunny there like it is here.
