Seldomseen--thanks for that idea. I tried the rip burn thing years ago, but my D drive had trouble reading the CDs, and I ended up with a whole pile of ruined CDSs- the Rs mixed in with the R/Ws and the piles of blank CDs-out of frustration. My desktop is old though.
I also tried it a year ago, and all my downloads from the site I used were coded to prevent them from being burned. I don't know which ones are the good sites anymore, and 1/2 my library has just 'disappeared'. Not lost in my hard drive, but the songs were somehow invalid (forget the word).
I also have a laptop now and haven't thought of doing that since I've had it, and will give that a try again. Thanks for the tip :) I'm getting sick of not having new music saved and having to rely on youtube, although my car's player doesn't read MP3s anyway. I've been listening to the exact same songs in my IPOD over and over and over...it contradicts my motivation to getting back to working out regularly again :(
I think I'll do the rip burn thing with the new U2 CD and see how that works.
