Human kind has always had a deep preocupation with the end of times. But catastrophes are not inherent of this milenium. All centuries have been plagued with all sorts of misery, plagues, hunger, wars, natural disasters, ruthless dictators and so much more. WE do not belong to a special club of misery to come just because we happen to live in this particular generation. The end of the world has always been around. In fact, my great grandmother was so certain that the world would more than likely end before a man could set foot on the moon because she actually never believe it would happen and she died before 1969.
I guess my point is that we need to focus on the centuries of example of the resilience of the human spirit. Embrace the good with the bad and focus on the positive. A beautiful child's smile, or a faithful dog following his loving owner/friend. The blooming of flowers, and the sound of the rain. These miraculous events happen every day and we tend to overlook them while we focus on events no one knows about or has the answers. We are going to be ok. And you will get through this rough patch just fine. And will be able to enjoy your family without having to put up a face or faking contentment. Your and all of our brains are actually wired to feel happiness we may have some malfunctions but with the right treatment life will feel once again promising.
