> Gabbette mean nicely but his thought another addict!!! So sick of it too. And it's ridiculous as ad's seem to be worse to withdraw off of from what I read. Aren't benzos the safest meds they've discovered in terms of harming ones self etc? Love Phillipa
I found Ad's to be more difficult physically,
I was just "out of it" dizzy, clued out, cold/hot
shaky..Whereas with Benzos it's the emotional effect of withdrawal that makes it intolerable for me
the teeniest negative, fearful or sad emotion is amplified to the point of being intolerable, like being in a house of horrors.
I've never done "recreational" drugs, but I think it's sort of like an emotional acid trip..
Where you hyperfocus on one emotion, or situation and it gets distorted and ghoulish..
It's really too bad it can't work in the other way you know, make yourself really happy focusing on something nice
However..to ad more murk onto the situation
If I'm in a good space emotionally, and decide to withdraw, I've had times where it's been inconvenient but tolerableI always end up back on them though, because
if I have a flashback or something, and end up in the ER it's the first thing they hand me.But it is ridiculous to mess with someone's mind
in such a hideous way, all in the name of mental health, it's ludicrous. I fail to understand what they're trying to achieve, because it's clear that the welfare of the patient is no longer the point...
I'm dependent on my ability to breathe too, so should I learn to live without it??And yes, Benzo's are far less harmful physically than many of the other medications.
