There was an article about it here, but they never mentioned a smiley face so you must be right.
Come to think of it, they seemed to be below and to the right of the moon, so wherever it was in the sky, where I was, the stars would be on the wrong side of the crescent to make a smiley face.
I'm sure I have seen something so bright in the sky before. But I don't remember having seen it.
I should learn more about those things. Spatial manipulation isn't my strong suit. I've always wanted to get a realistically spinning day/night globe. Now I'm thinking I need one of those things in a planetarium, with rotating moon and night skies. :)
