Somewhere deeply buried in my knowledge banks is an answer to that question. But the only part I can access is that it's not the one you would think it is. At first glance, I'd say I'd think it was white with black stripes, so that would mean that it's actually black with white stripes.
However, that is a very dangerous way to remember things, because eventually you start remembering it the correct way, then apply the rule and answer wrong. I can't tell you how much trouble this has caused with my husband's birthday.
So... If I haven't subconsciously now remembered the right answer so that the rule of "not what you'd think it would be" is wrong, then I'd say it was black with white stripes, because my kneejerk response would be white with black stripes, and I know that my kneejerk response is incorrect.
