My dad ate cornbread with cake. We always had a pan of cornbread baked (we were RURAL) and he had to have a slice of that to go with his dessert. He loved sweets, so he ate alot of that bread during his life time.
Salt in coffee? Boy, that woman was one tough cookie! However, I used to put salt on my cantaloupe.
