I spend a lot of time reading these boards.
I find I'm comforted by the news that our LlurpsieNoodle is safe. I was even inspired to write a list of 10 on the Self Esteem board, something that I've tried to do 4 times this week already, and couldn't get past the first item on the list. So that's good.
And I've been so very quiet lately. Reading but not writing. Supporting but not asking for support. I'm not particularly asking for support now, but it's time for me to write, to fill these spaces up. So many people have fled; the halls are echoing. It makes me uneasy, and so I feel I need to add my voice to the boards when I'm not feeling very loud. But at least there will be something yellow and New! to read the next time the board comes up.
So, forgive my lame, directionless musing here and there. They're not meant to just fill up space, but to contribute - I want to contribute again. I don't always get the opportunity. I find, for example, when my DH is at home with me, that he's quite jealous of my Babble-Time, and so I portion it out so that my attention is turned away from the computer then. Not towards my DH, most likely, but towards the TV, or maybe out for a walk if the weather is nice. But I find I look forward to my alone time, so that I can read and catch up.
And now, so that I can post again.
