Yes, there would be encouragement to learn to cope -- things like, "Is there someplace you could put your keys consistently, so you could find them?" -- but you'd have a place to tell about all that, for direct, face to face, support.
You're in college. Your college will have a student health center. Your college student health center will either have counselors you can talk to, or they will have a list of local resources to help you find one. The list of local resources is likely to be geared towards sliding scale/low cost options, because that's often what students need.
