Good point Phillipa.
We don't even have TV, but if we did, I wouldn't watch the news. You've got 2 of your senses being bombarded - sight and hearing.
Radio - hearing only
Newspaper - sight only
I don't even read the paper any more, but it's more from lack of energy or motivation. I haven't even heard the news on the radio for - hmmm - I'm embarrassed to say, probably weeks - I guess since my camping holiday!
I think watching the news on TV could easily provide a banquet for feeding fears & concerns.
