To those interested in hair removal, FYI I used a drugstore hair removal contraption by "Personal Touch" I think it was. I don't know if it would work as well or be as easy to use on the fine, diffuse hair of a "moustache," but for more "defined" stray hairs it worked very well. It has a super thin, short needle which you place at the root, and it sends an electrical zap into it. You can tell when you've fried it successfully (but if you miss, nothing happens), and then it's gone for good. It doesn't hurt any more than plucking an eyebrow hair.
I suppose you could even do a large area with it but it would probably take a long time. Might be a fun project for in front of the TV over weeks or months! ;-) Yeah real fun.
