Crop circles I know are pranks. I saw a documentary on how they're made. And many people have mad very large crop circles of logos (Firefox, Google, etc). So unless aliens are use Firefox to browse the web...lol
I think most UFOs are either hoaxes, weather balloons, or perhaps even unknown government aircraft (I know the US government has saucer shaped plane in the 50s.)
My opinion: I really really don't think aliens (if they exist) ever have or ever will visit Earth. 2 reasons.
1. The nearest solar systems/planets are so far away, it would take literally tens of thousands of years for even the fastest imaginable ships (1/10th the speed of light) to reach Earth.
2. Second and most importantly. THe universe has existed for 15 billion years. Assuming it takes a few million years (we'll say 2 on average) for one species to evolve and develop into an advance civilization, there are 7,500 blocks of time (15 billion = 15,000 million / 2 million = 7,500) that a civilization can rise up. So the odds of an advanced civilization existing at the same time we exist is very unlikely.
Combine these two together, aliens being within a reasonable distance, and aliens existing at the same time as us, is very very unlikely.
Just my take on it.
